Trader Joe's Spicy & Sweet Picanté Peppers jar

new as of august 28, 2026

Trader Joe's Spicy & Sweet Picanté Peppers just landed at $5.49 for 10.23 oz jar. If the original jar was too tame, this is the fix. If you never tried the original, start here only if you already like heat with your cheese.

What is it?

The spicy sibling of Trader Joe's Sweet Picanté Peppers with Creamy Cheese Filling, from the same stuffed-pepper supplier in Greece. Pickled orange cherry peppers are filled with a cheese blend seasoned with chili flakes, chili powder, chili extract, onion, garlic, and paprika, then packed in a sunflower and canola oil blend. Picanté peppers are mild on their own, so all of the heat comes from the filling.

Party snack table, pizza or sandwich topping, or sliced over a salad. A serving is about two drained peppers and the jar holds about five servings. Trader Joe's says the spice complements rather than overpowers the sweet and tangy base.
