How do I find Trader Joe's recommendations that match my taste?
Compare the reason behind a recommendation with your own preferences. Real chocolate, maple and lemon notes show how to choose a more relevant next product.

Look for a recommendation whose reason matches what you enjoy, then compare the product with something you already know. A high rank is useful context. A note about sweetness, texture or a specific flavor often tells you more about whether the recommendation fits you.
Our editor’s record supplies a clear example: Dark Chocolate Covered Cherries earned “love” with the note “Very good balance of chocolate to cherry, not too sweet.” Lemon Flavored Wafer Cookies earned “like,” but the note says “just too sweet.” Those comments identify a sweetness preference that a simple list of positive ratings would hide.
Turn your preferences into a next purchase
| If you know this about your taste | Look for this in the recommendation |
|---|---|
| You dislike very sweet snacks | An actual comment about sweetness |
| You like a particular flavor | A note that names that flavor |
| Texture changes whether you rebuy | A texture observation, not just “good” |
| You trust a friend’s past picks | Their own tasting, with the exact product |
For example, our editor’s Maple Leaf Cookies note praises a distinct maple flavor. That makes the recommendation more relevant to a maple fan. It does not tell us that someone who dislikes maple will enjoy the same cookie.
Can one note predict what I will like?
No. Treat it as a reason to try a product, then keep your own result. In the editor’s 16-item sweets list, Maple Leaf Cookies rank fourth, lemon wafers sixth and chocolate-covered cherries eleventh. All are positively rated. Those positions are personal preferences across different types of sweets, not a sweetness scale.
How does finds help?
The finds App Store listing describes saved products, personal rankings and sharing with friends. Use those records to retain both the recommendation and your eventual reaction. This article does not measure recommendation accuracy or claim that the app predicts a particular person’s taste with a known success rate.
A useful routine is to save one product for a specific reason, taste it, and record whether that reason held up for you. Over several trips, your notes become a more informative reference than a collection of unrelated superlatives.
See where to find useful product reviews for evaluating evidence before buying. Personal reactions and ranks in this article come from one finds editor’s September 7, 2026 record. They describe that person’s preferences, not a community vote. Product facts come from the exact Trader Joe’s records checked that day. September 7, 2026: first publication.
