How do I decide whether a viral Trader Joe’s product is worth trying?

Check the exact product, identify the reason people like it, and compare that reason with your own preferences before buying. A popular clip can introduce a food without proving you will enjoy it. Save the idea in finds, then record your own verdict after tasting instead of treating the hype as a rating.
Ask what the clip actually tells you
A video may show an appealing texture, a serving idea or someone’s enthusiastic reaction. Each supports a different conclusion. A package close-up can identify the product; it cannot establish how every shopper will feel about it.
Write down one reason you are interested. “I want a crisp chocolate snack” is easier to evaluate than “everyone has this.” Then look for a reaction that discusses that same detail.
Use a short evidence check

A reservation can be more useful than a superlative. A note that says something is sweeter than expected helps a reader who dislikes very sweet snacks. Do not strip that detail away when passing the recommendation along.
Make the first purchase an experiment
If the product fits your preferences and budget, start with an amount you are comfortable trying. Pair the decision with something familiar: what are you expecting this to replace or sit beside?
After tasting, record your reaction before the package disappears. Note the detail that matched or missed your expectation. If you liked it, compare it with a known favorite. If you did not, the note still did its job by informing a future trip.
A real note is better than an invented consensus
